The role of computers in control
Computers can respond quickly to change.
Systems can run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Control systems can operate in places that humans would find dangerous.
Computers can process data quickly and machines can operate faster than humans.
Computers are now used to control many types of devices such as
air conditioning and heating systems in large buildings
security systems and burglar alarms
manufacturing processes
traffic lights
The19/01/2012 I learnt that if you are programming a robot or a machine, you have to think about the robot's indications and not yours. Robots =Logo Java = Gaming
The 2/02/12
I am learning about Control Sytsems.
ADC: (Analog-to-digital) It is a device that converts a continuous quantity to a discrete time digital representation.
DAC: (Digital-to-analog) It is a device that converts a digital code to an analog signal.
Vocabulary:
command
argument
procedure
turtle
Basic commands:
fd & bk
lt & rt
pu & pd
Algorithm: It is a step-by-step procedure for calculations
